Thoughts on towing a 3100RD with a 2015 Toyota Tundra
Has anyone towed an Imagine 3100RD with a Toyota Tundra? Any issues/concerns??
I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra 4X4, V8 5.7l engine with tow package. Tow capacity is 10,000lbs and the 3100RD is GVWR 9495lbs. I will not be carrying any liquid in my tanks and have an Equalizer weight distribution hitch. Also installing air bags to help....
Any thoughts?
Thanks a bunch.

I was towing a Reflection 297RSTS with a 2009 Tundra without any issues. The Tundra towed it, stopped and handled the trailer very well and I was quite pleased with it. With a good WDH and sway control the Tundra is a very good tow vehicle. I don't think you need airbags. I never used them as the WDH levels out the weight and the Tundra suspension only sagged about 2" and rode very level.

It’s more than I would tow with a half ton of any brand in both length and weight.
You need to have 1234ish lbs of payload available just for the trailer. . Which may also put you close on RAWR. Good that you have a nice hitch, and the air bags may help stabilize it, but they do not add any capacity to the truck.
That said, people do it all the time. But people do lots of things all the time that neither you nor I would do. You’ll have enough power to move the thing around, but I don’t suspect it’ll be a great towing experience otherwise. Keeping your speed down will help, but it won’t make your truck any more capable.2022 Transcend Xplor 240ML

Seems people do this quite often from what I’ve read on TundraTalk.net forum; there’s a thread just on this subject with nearly 2600 posts. With the 5.7l & 4:30 rear Tundra can tow like a beast but with that length trailer there will be potential for sway. Equalizer is a good hitch; had one originally until I couldn’t lift it anymore due to back problems, but it will add 80+# to the TW.
To each his own but I would not feel comfortable towing that trailer unless it was just to a seasonal site.2010 Tundra SR5 DC 5.7L 4x4
