Ditto to what others said - I'm about 13' 3'. Configuration is in signature. I have about 4" of bed rail to camper clearance.

One change I hope to make is to lower the rear of the truck about 1 to 2 inches and raise the hitch to get a bit more truck to camper clearance.

Started to pull it into the 14' covered space, where my TT's have been kept and luckily stopped before the front a/c's top few inches crashed into the storage roof.
TX legal height limit is 14'. Anyone else with this assembly encountered height issues? Is this right or whats wrong??

Thanks everyone for your input. HAPPY to say we've diagnosed the problemSSS as it was a collection of things but at least I've got her down to a safe height.

So here's the scoop: Tires on the truck were larger than OE, had added 1.5 inches, the posts, on the companion hitch were mounted too high and not as shown on the BW installation instructions had added 1", I miss measured, 2" too high and the roof of my parking slot was indeed not 1 - 1.5" lower than 14. So Im now running real close to perfectly level and measured 13.5 (three times LOL)... all measurements subject to age and whether my glasses were on.

Since we had to measure repeatedly while making adjustments, the son in law went up the ladder with a 4ft level laid it on the a/c and held the extend end to level. I had an 8ft aluminum straight edge (from neighbors wood shop) and laid it vertically on the side of the trailer aligning the top of the straight edge to the level coming extending from top of a/c. Ladder guy marked the straight edge (broaddtip black marker) at the edge of the trailer. Now we measure from roof edge of trailer to ground and add the inches marked on the straight edge - the level plane of a/c height to trailer edge.

I have a laser level that I use for hanging pictures and other household chores (i.e. a cheap one). Put it up along one side of the trailer until the highest point of the trailer (A/C unit) just broke the horizontal beam. I used a forklift truck, but it could be a ladder, or even set it on the roof of the trailer and prop it up until it just clears the high spot. The idea was to get a beam on the other side that I could measure from the ground up with a tape measure and a ladder.
The hard part is getting the level in place on one side of the trailer and me up high enough on the other. I did this inside a building so it was easy to see the beam. If your outside, wait until dark or at least twilight, to make sure you can see the laser beam. The cheap ones (mine) are not very bright.
