Awning
Looking for some suggestions because lately every time I try to open up my awning attached to the slide out it blows a fuse. I had this problem when I first got the camper and took it to a dealer and of course they could not find anything wrong. The dealer said it’s possible I had a pinched wire and it worked itself free. Now, today I tried to open up the awning and I went through three fuses before saying to hell with it. Soon as I hit the extend button the fuse pops.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Blowing a fuse like that means most likely you have a short to ground, maybe from a frayed wire or a cut somewhere or maybe a motor overload. All you can do is try to trace the wires for obvious signs, or do a check on the motor.

Or the awning channels are sticking. If it is a Dometic give their customer service a folks a call and get a free set of rubber bumpers. I have a bowing back channel problem on my trailer and the full cure included installing the rubber bumpers. The help push the channels apart when extending. Mine used to POP about 1/8 way out. Not now.
