Finally we are picking up our 303RLS on Friday 1/30/15
Wasn't sure this was ever going to happen but we will finally be picking up our new 303 RLS on Friday 1/30/15 and we will be towing it with a 2013 F-150 max payload, max towing. That is the F-150 with the ecoboost v-6 and the seven lugs on the wheels and the three leaf springs in the rear. There never was a problem getting the trailer it was just getting past the one in our heads that needed to decide if we were going to get the 303 pulled by the truck we loved or if we were going to get a gas powered motorhome or a diesel that was a few years old. Two years ago we sold our 40' Holiday Rambler Endeavor which was a wonderful coach although it was quite expensive to maintain so that made going back to another diesel pusher difficult but we couldn't get it completely out of our minds. Then there were the gas motorhomes but they really didn't compare with the diesel pushers in interiors so we finally decided that we would go with the 303 as it is a lot nicer inside than many gas motorhomes and we would still use the truck we like so much. So glad the mental anguish is over, writing the check was a breeze.

Congratulations ranchdog, the 303 seems to be a very popular model here on the forum.

Great news ranchdog !
We seem to now have matching rigs from one end to the other !
We also had "analysis paralysis" trying to figure out if this combination would really work.
Several thousand miles of uphill and down proves that this truck can do what Ford has engineered it to do.

Rob,
We never doubted that the combination would work, the truck has been pulling a 30' Cougar 5w for the last two years. Too bad everyone doesn't understand what a horse this truck is although they don't see them just sitting around on dealers lots. Hard for them to understand that this EcoBoost v-6 puts out 420 ft. lbs. of torque and the v-10 that pulls 40' gas motorhomes around, along with a towed. only puts out 457 ft. lbs. of torque. We just suffered that problem of "upselling" ourselves as we looked over all of the shiny new toys. Had to have several talks with the dummies in the mirror about what would meet our needs and not what our greedy little eyes romanced about. Glad to hear you have had great success with your rig. We are hoping to make the trip to AK this year with the new rig.

Congrats Ranchdog! We too debated between motorhome or 5th wheel. Decided we liked more living space and more countertop space in 5th wheel. We spend more time camping than driving usually so we opted for more comfort at camp.

Looks awesome. Love the color on the truck, goes well with the Reflection. What happened to wanting to keep the F150?

F 150 was blue. What I have in mind was going to be constantly straining the F 150 so I just decided to get a F 350.
