Converting 30amp to 50amp
I was wondering if it is possible to convert from 30 amp to 50amp and what that would take to do so? The brochure for my 2017 imagine 2650 said it was an option. Reason why I am wondering is because I would like to add a second A/C unit as I will be moving to Tucson next year and I don’t think my single unit can keep up with the 110 deg heat there.

You'd have to see what type of WFCO panel you have, Distribution Panel or Power Center, and check its physical dimensions.
The Distribution Panel WF-8930/50 I think would need changed for one for 50A service, along with a 50A Inlet and new 6/3+8 Gnd NM-B (Romex) wire from inlet to distribution panel.
The Power Center like WF-8900 SERIES that has the converter integrated would need a separate contverter along with an distribution panel.- Gene

What cord did it come with? 30 amp or 50 amp? Many Imagines are already wired for 50 amp. It was only the AC unit itself that was the option. So the power may already be there and waiting in the ceiling of the bedroom, where the 2nd AC would go. Call GD with your VIN, and they can confirm for sure.

That's the Power Center with integrated converter - https://wfcoelectronics.com/product/wf-8955-55-amp/
30A max.
Dimensions 12 3/16″ x 10 7/8″ x 7 1/4″
AC Circuits (twin breakers) 1 main and 5 branch circuits
Looks like WFCO has a couple more power centers that offer 50A. They are a bit larger dimensions.

What about cutting another hole in the side of the camper and installing a 20A inlet dedicated to the new A/C?

That sounds like the least costly option if you just want to add a second AC.
Or change out the 30 amp receptacle on the RV to a 50 amp receptacle and change the 30 amp cabling from the receptacle to 50 amp cable. Then run one leg of the new 50 amp cable to the existing WFCO box and the other leg to a separate, small breaker box for the new AC.
Either way seems simple and easy enough.Larry KE4DMG
