Factory Break Controller vs After Market Controller
Hey All,
We bought a new Reflection 337RLS in April, and took the opportunity to update my break controller (old one was a Takonsha Prodgy P3 from 2007). I went with a new P2. It worked really, really, well on the two trips we took. Since then, I have traded my gas truck in for a 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500HD, SRW, Diesel 4X4. It has the factory break controller. Looking at reviews online, I don't see much criticism about the factory controllers. Thought I would get online here and ask your opinions? (BTW, I have not had an opportunity to try it out yet).

I've had a long line of Tekonsha and finished off after markets with a Prodigy. I have zero complaints about the factory controllers in the RAMs I have had/have.

Rumor has it when Ford started putting factory brake controllers in their trucks they had the guts from a P3. I had an old P1 I put in my F-150, the new F-250 has the factory controller.

Thank you for responding. I have not found much online in the way of complaints about the factory controllers.

I am not surprised. Why reinvent the wheel when they can reverse engineer products already out there.
