Downloading pictures
I'm not able to download pictures to my attachments folder. Is there something different about how to do that now?

I'm not aware of any changes, perhaps the file size is to large?
Can you upload it to a photo album?Marcy & Gary

I resized the photo down to 95KB (600X312), still didn't download. I even tried downloading a photo I've done before, it didn't work. I don't know how to upload to a photo album.
When I click on "Manage Attachments" it opens the window where I've got photos I've already downloaded. I click on "Add file" and find the photo. When I click on "Upload file" the little window disappears and nothing happens. Down in the lower left corner (where it usually shows % of progress) sometimes there's a quick facebook address that shows up then disappears.

Are you trying to:
1. Add (upload to the site) photos to a post or somewhere else or
2. Download images from the site to your device or computer?
If you are trying to upload, what is the file size and the file format? (jpg, gif, etc)
And what sort of device are you using and what browser?

I'm on a laptop, using Windows 10/Chrome (is that what you need?)
I'm trying to post a picture on a thread. In the past, after I've composed my post, I click on "Go Advanced" in the lower right of the post. Then scroll down and click on "Manage Attachments". A new window opens (that has all the photos I've posted in the past) and a little window in the upper right, I click on "Add Files" in that little window. Then find and click on the photo I want. It takes a few seconds for the (not sure what it's called) code for that picture shows up, then I click on "Upload". *** After a few seconds, in the lower left of the main Manage Attachments window you see a running % of download. When it's done, the picture shows up with the rest of the pictures I've previously downloaded. I then drag that photo into the lower part of the Manage Attachments window and click on "Insert Inline" in the lower right. Then I click Submit Reply when it's there. Everything after the *** I wrote here isn't happening.
It's a JPG, 862 KB.Last edited by livinthelife; 07-10-2020 at 02:06 PM.

I tried that. Same thing happened.
But, I found a security notice on the photo I'm trying to post. Saying that the photo came from another computer and it was being blocked to protect my computer. I unblocked it. Let's see if it works.
No, that didn't work. Bu I was able to see, when I click the "Upload" button, the message at the bottom right of the main Manage Attachments page said "waiting for www.facebook.com" before disappearing. One time it said "waiting for cache"
OK, I can post a picture I already have in my attachments file directly, regardless of the size..
I don't know.

Let's try something new
No, that didn't work, either. I tried copying and pasting the original image in Paint and saving it. Then tried downloading it. Still getting the "waiting for www.facebook.com....." message on lower left of main manage attachments window. Tried waiting about 3 minutes for it to do something, but it didn't.

It sounds like you have an image with some embedded code from facebook. Can you try a couple of things:
1. open the image on your system and resave it with a new name. Save it as a jpg. See if it will load.
2. Try loading another image that you have on your hard drive already - see if that works. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. | Dr. Seuss
