Check your waste tank levels before you leave the dealership!

Had a nice surprise last Sunday night on our inaugural run in the 29RS. Got set up everything was fine. Grilled some hot dogs and enjoyed some nice Yuenglins and shots of a little bit stronger stuff. After we watched a nice sunset at the lake I decided to shower. Right before I finished showering, I noticed water standing in the shower and very slow to drain. After I got out I went straight to the displays. All three tanks full. We checked them during the PDI but seems the dealership never drained them. I drained the fresh water tank there, but assumed they did the others while I finished up paperwork. Anyway I went and got a baker 4 wheeler to empty them Monday rather than breaking camp and dumping. Good news is that I planned on getting the baker and got very familiar with it on the 6 trips it took to get everything empty. Luckily I have an additional valve to shut the pipe off from our last unit. Really makes it easy to fill the pooter scooter as my bride has named it.

So always check the tanks before you leave the dealership!

I had a little different experience. My dealer left my rear black tank valve open and we stayed on site for a few days without realizing it. The site we were in wasnt full hookups so I had no reason to mess with the handle. Immediately leaving the dealer we went to Fort Wilderness, and when I went to hook up the sewer hose to the rear discharge I got a lovely surprise and saw the handle was still pulled out. That was an exciting time, and shortly after that i ordered the twist on gate valve.
