Added a Cargo Net to Coffee Bar
I added a cargo net to the coffee bar area because I figured this might make prep for travel day easier. I still plan to stow the glass water pot before we travel. Anyone else tried this?

The net is a good idea but things will still slide some, maybe rubber paint the feet or bottom. The beadboard needs a padding behind it so it isn't scratched. Foam core board would be a cheap and light protection for that and can be stashed under or behind the couch.
In our 303 we leave the paper towel stand on the same area and it stays put but it also has a rubber bottom. The foodi is heavy and not a cheap appliance to replace, mine rides on the floor of the pantry,Marcy & Gary

Most of what’s on the counter actually has a rubber feet already. I’ve traveled with the toaster in that same spot and no netting. The ninja foodie doesn’t feel like it could move at all. I’m actually pretty impressed with it, as it’s almost like it was made for an RV. I like the idea of padding on the bead board.

I agree the Foodi will likely stay put, it is one heavy appliance! I really enjoy cooking in ours and it makes a pretty good little cake too!

I was searching for threads on what's behind the bead board backsplash on the coffee bar, and came across this old thread. So, here's a 1 year review of how the cargo net idea worked.
The cargo net was a hit. I travelled exactly as it's pictured from:
- North Carolina to Pennsylvania
- Pennsylvania to North Carolina
- North Carolina to Texas
The end result was everything stayed put and nothing moved.
quick edit: Don't think I ever mentioned this, but that coffee grinder is stationary thanks to command strip Velcro.Last edited by chemist308; 08-17-2021 at 12:37 PM.
