    Pantry Lighting

Suffered with lack of adaquate pantry Lighting. Finally installed strip led lighting. Purchased on Amazon, used existing 12 volt power from original sun standard light on pantry ceiling. Perfect!

Nice! I found some battery powered motion activated led strip lights on Amazon. Stuck one underneath each shelf and they were great!

Looks super and would like to avoid the battery powered option; where exactly did you hook into the 12V system? Thanks!

We did this a few years ago, our light was not LED. I dismantled the light bulb andwired the strip intothe bulb base. Plugged it in and use the existing switch for on/off

The unit has a silly LED lamps operated by a switch. I eliminated this light and used that power source.

I did something similar (put LED strip lights under each shelf) and tied them into the existing light. I temporarily removed the light, drilled a small hole in the side, ran a wire through it and connected that to both sides of the existing bulb. That way the existing switch, and motion detector, can control the new lights.

This was one of the first mods after we got our new 295rl. I copied the plan from member Howson on the other forum. I used self adhesive LED strips from Amazon and hooked into the motion light in pantry ceiling. It was real easy and made DW very happy.
