    Reflection decals

We will be taking delivery of our new Reflections 5th wheel in a few weeks, and was wondering if anyone has had issues with their decals?

We currently have a Keystone Laredo purchased in 2009, and most of the decals have failed!!! Shrinkage, cracking you name it! While the RV isn't garaged, we did cover it during the winter months when not in use. I'm hoping Grand Design has a better graphics supplier!

    Any input would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Terry

Mine are fine after a year in the Arizona sun, but I spray then with Aerospace 303 every couple of months. 303 is a UV protectant. I don't think there is a vinyl decal out there that will stand up to years of sun. Spraying them just postpones the damage.

Jim, where do you get the protectant? We want to do whatever we can to keep our new RV in excellent shape, as we plan on keeping this as long as we are able to travel & camp!

We belong to some camping groups, many have much older RV's that are exposed to the elements 24/7 year round, and their decals might have faded a bit, but haven't completely failed like ouur Laredo! Some of the maroon decals have shrunk 25% or more!

FYI...Keystone had a run of bad decals form 2007 through 2009.

It was across the board with their products, from Laredo to Outback to Montana.

They had been replacing the decals for free for 3 years.

That's good to know, huntr70! Would have been nice of Keystone to let owners know of this! At least now we know this isn't something we should take a hit for at trade in!!! Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, Keystone had bad decals. Our 2008 Laredo had a nice clean white nose after we got the glue off. So far, no problems on our Reflection.

You can purchase 303 at Camping World, or click on the where to buy tab on their website.

Thanks Jim! We have a Camping World locally! Good to know they carry this product.

Kay & Dave.....so you also went from Keystone to Grand Design! How would you compare the two? We think we are getting a much better quality unit.....do you feel that was the case for you?

Bruce and Terry... Yes we feel the Reflection 303 is really a step up from the 2008 Laredo 265RL. Aside from the fantastic floor plan and much more comfortable furniture, the fit and finish are good and there are certainty fewer squeeks. We have had our 303 since November 2013 and have spent around 100 nights in it.

Bruce and Terry, we traded a 2003 Keystone Cougar in on our GD 303. I would say it's like going from Rambler to a Cadillac. Have not regreted it once and have had zero defects so far.. You're going to love it!
