How do I add the signature. I was on my PC, looked around my profile... didn't see where to add a signature.

    This is incorrect.

There are two models of the Honda 2200. The “Honda EU2200i-companion” has a 30-amp plug so you don’t need a 15-amp adapter nor do you need a second generator to run the roof air.

I’ve run my 15,000 BTU roof air on my Honda EU2200i many times. I also don’t have an Easystart.

Here’s a video I made a couple years ago boondocking in a corn field in south Texas in the summer.

Resistance is Not Futile, It's Voltage Divided by Current.

    Honda Generator

Here’s another guy using one to power his roof air, TV and fridge simultaneously.
He’s not even using the 30-amp cable I use!
He’s using a standard extension cord and the 15-amp socket!
You get what you pay for... The Honda’s are STOUT.

Anybody have any experience with a Wen inverter generator in the 2000 watt range?

I do not, but I've seen a few posts mentioning it and a couple other budget generators very similar to it. It's often discussed because it's one of the cheapest generators in the most popular size, the 2000-watt size. This size generator is the most sought after because of it's portability.
If you're on a tight budget and you only care about cost then go for it, but if you want to take a deeper dive into some of the specifications read on.

The engine in the Wen 2000-watt inverter generator is 79cc and the unit weighs 48 lbs.
The engine in the HF Predator 2000-watt inverter generator is also 79cc but that unit weighs 47 lbs.
The engine on the Honda 2200-watt inverter generator is 121cc and this unit weighs 51 lbs.
So all 3 generators are almost exactly the same dimensions and weight but the Honda's engine is 150% larger.

So there's no way you're going to get even close to the same performance from the Wen or Predator.
Most people think comparing a Honda to a Wen or HF (or Champion) brand is an apples to apples comparison and that you're getting the same performance for less money. They think buying a Honda just means you're paying for the name. You're not. You're paying less because you're getting less.

These other brands rate their generators at what they're barely able to produce under perfect conditions.
The Honda generators are purposely under-rated so they'll produce the advertised numbers (and then some) in even the most extreme conditions.

My advice, if your budget is $500-$600 is go find a 10-year old Honda 2000-watt generator.
This model had a 99cc engine (120% larger than competitors) and weighs less than all 3 above.

Why not just get the Harbor Freight 3500 Predator and be done with it? It's only $799 and oftentimes can be had for less with their sales. And watching YouTube videos, the HF 3500 is quieter than the Hondas under load.

A lot of people don’t have room for one large generator like that or can’t lift it.
    Another is resale value.
Find a ten year old HF generator for sale, if you can find one that old, it won’t be worth much.
I could get 80% of what I paid for my Honda if I sold it.
When you have really high resale value you’re getting more value.

    Lowes has it for $751.
This unit seems almost too good to be true. Has anyone else had experience with it?

Is running a genny at its max the same as getting a 3/4 ton truck to tow a Solitude where the truck is maxed out on it's numbers. Will the smaller motor in the cheaper genny die before the bigger engine would. Will the smaller motor struggle to work as well as it should when it's being asked to work at it's max a lot.
