For quick overnights like that I will put my front landing gear down while connected to the truck and try to make it as level as possible without pulling up on the hitch. As long as its within .5 degrees of level I will leave it hooked up and put slides out. I use the leveling system LCD to tell me how level it is. No technical reason on the .5 degrees, just a number I picked that seemed close enough for me.

I have a LevelMate Pro. I turn it on and drive until I find a spot where the trailer is close to level side to side and level or a little nose up fore to aft. Park it, unplug the umbilical from the truck and go to bed. Don’t use slides or landing gear.

I am in the put the front landing gear down to stabilize when overnighting on near level ground. Near level... If I want completely level I unhook and level. Otherwise I just use the landing gear to stabilize.

We take advantage of our Snap Pads.

When we are Over-nighting, we stay hooked up to the truck and will manually level the camper using all 6 legs. First I level up a little high in front and then I drop the rear legs. By being slightly high in front I can set the rear legs firmly on the ground without placing too much weight on them (just enough to stabilize the coach), my final step is to level side-to-side. Also, I don't have to be perfectly level, just close (all depends on the site and how much weight I need to take off the truck).

Congrats on your new coach and Enjoy !!!!
