What group batteries are supposed to be in a 379 FL

I was checking out the installation of my two batteries and after reading the Solitude Owners Manual I discovered this unit is designed for group 27 deep cycle batteries. What it has is group 24 dual usage batteries. My Big Country I traded in for this had the group 27 batteries, did I get short changed?

Hi @Abqscott,

We recommend either Group 24 or Group 27 deep cycle batteries for our units. Performance characteristics are very similar although the Group 27 will hold a charge longer and would be more beneficial for dry camping. Under normal use the Group 24 battery will provide the 12V power required for operation of your unit.
