Summersville WV back to Winchester, VA area

I went to Summersville WV from the Winchester VA area and took the northern route of I68 to Morgantown and then down I79. I crawled up and down those hills and averaged about 7mpg in my Silverado 2500 pulling a reflection. I was thinking of going back the southern route of I64 east to I81 north. Does anyone have experience traveling I64 east? How are the accents/descents compared to traveling I68? I would be getting dumped onto I64 east of Beckley WV. BTW. Summersville lake is a great place to stay. Beautiful area.

Ok so made my way back. Going 64/81 was way better and less of the ups and downs on 68. I will try to never use I68 again.
