Are Anderson connectors weatherproof?
For those who have installed a separate charging line from the truck to the RV, and used Anderson connectors, are the connectors weatherproof? If not, how did you keep the rain out?

No, they aren’t weatherproof. I use them for winches and never have any issues with water.

If you go back in time to their historic use, you'd find the cavities would be filled with dielectric grease. That's all you need.
Regarding a charge line, if you need an Andersen, you're probably too rich in the gauge you're choosing unless you're devoting an alternator fully to the task.Rob & Nikki + Cloverfield

They do have Environmental Boots that can go on the SB connectors.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. By way of further explanation, I have seen several videos of folks adding charging circuits for a DC to DC charger in the RV when they switch to Lithium. They always seem to use the Anderson connector. I found a source that will pre-make the cable for you, https://www.batterycablesusa.com/4-gauge-anderson-cable , but I began to wonder how those connectors worked when driving in the rain.
