    Need 5th wheel recommendations

Need a new hitch install for a 5th wheel. 2013 Chevy 2500HD diesel with 6-1/2 foot bed. For a Reflection 29RS with pin weight of 1538 and GVWR of 10995. Recommendations?

I have only ever used BW Companion slider, Convertaball (1 trip only) and now a Anderson Ultimate. I have a turnover ball and simply love the Anderson. It all depends on how much you want access to your bed when not towing. I am sure there are other fantastic systems.

Do an advanced search and you will find numerous suggestions for this hot topic. I use an AUH, everyone has a preference.

Will be doing that soon. Probably another 'Ford vs. Chevy' question! :-)

I have a B&W companion slider and am very happy with it. Easy to use but a little heavy when you want to take it out.

Just curious- why is the AUH so preferred? Is it lighter?

So light. About 35 lbs. easy to take in and out of bed of truck. King pin adapter easy to install. Easy to hookup. Very iight connection to kingpin so chucking, in my opinion, is virtually nonexistent.

But for me it’s two fold. Super easy to connect but most importantly, I can take it out of the bed in 3 minutes with one hand.

Even if we are camped somewhere and need the bed for anything, I can remove it by myself and out it back in super easily.

Just have to carry a torque wrench to lock it back in when replacing.

Yep, those that have the AUH love them so you might want to look into one on YouTube or on their website.
