If your heart is set on the Goose Box buy it and try it with the factory hitch. If you have clearance problems then buy the B&W under bed hitch and 4" offset ball.
I hope like hell it works fine in the stock location as I'm also looking at the Reese Goose Box with a short bed.2024 Ford F350 CCSB Lariat 7.3 4.30

Yep, that is what I'm planning to do. I need to use the truck as my DD and use the bed regularly, so Goosebox makes a tons of sense. My trip back from the dealer should be pretty benign, so hopefully will get a good feel for it. It looks like the cap on the 31MB has a pretty good recess/cut on it so that may help as well.

Been researching on YouTube. Looks like it might work, I believe GD 5th wheels all have recessed front caps. If I'm wrong let me know. The beginning is about mirrors just keep watching.

Thanks, I have seen that video and I agree, I think it should work fine w/o the offset ball. I also did some measuring and found someone with a 31MB with a Ford SRW short box who says it works fine. While the Ford "short box" is longer than the Ram by 5-6", as I measure the actual difference from the front of the bed (towards the cab) to the hitch between the Ram and the Ford is only about 1.5ish inches closer in the Ram. Also, the sides and back of the Ram cab taper forward, whereas the Ford is more vertical, so the actual distance from the gooseball to the cab may be negligible between the two. Also of note, the bed rails of the Ram seem to be more narrow than my previous Ford (haven't measured to confirm) which should help bed rail clearance on the Ram, especially with a bed cover. As with anything shortbed, I think I'll need to take some extra care and hopefully will be fine.

2019 Ram 3500 MC short bed with a BW Companion for the puck system. Towing a GD 260RD. I can do 90 degree turns no problem. However the 260RD has a Turning Point kingpin which moves the turning point back 22 inches.

Just measured on my 20 Megacab. The rear window is tapered, so it depends where you measure from. From the center of the Gooseball to the lowest part of the rear window is ~36 inches, to the middle of the window is 37 and to the top of the window/cab is ~39 inches. Also, I was able to get the factory hitch swapped out for a B&W (it bolts right up and fits the factory cutout) so I can now use the 4” extender hitch. That should give me 41 inches to the middle of the window and 43 inches to the top of the window, so with the Reflection’s curved cap I think this should work pretty well with the Goosebox.

Also of note, it is interesting that while the Ram has the shortest bed at 6'5" (which is noticeably shorter than my previous F-250 which was 6'10"), based on the measurement above, there is negligible difference between the actual clearance on the Ram and the Ford to the rear window.

The B&W hitch is heavy duty, I added one on our 2018 F250 before we bought our F350. I liked the hitch a lot it worked perfectly, was very secure, and customer service was outstanding. Only downside on the B&W Ford hitch is, one of the mounts blocks the passenger rear shock bolt, so changing shocks requires removing part of the hitch. The flaw (in my mind) may have been fixed so don't take this as gospel, make a call to B&W and ask the question.
Sounds like the bed lenghts are within an inch or so to the front.2024 Ford F350 CCSB Lariat 7.3 4.30

The goosebox is great. No chucking at all. Very SMOOOTH It's great not having the pin box hitch in the back of the truck to remove when I need the bed.
