LED Backup Lights Revisited - What actually works?
I just did a search on this and after going through at least a dozen or more threads I am still at a loss on what actually works well. Some folks reported that lights less than 20W were OK but not great. I want to be able to see what's behind me in the backup camera or my side mirrors. I am considering some side flood lighting too so I see objects in the truck mirrors. Have folks done that?
So What size/type lights work the best? I know about the yellow backup wire in the plug from the truck and I am familiar with relays so if more power is needed I would not blow the truck fuse (supposedly only 10 amp in the new 2020 F350's) Running wires will be fairly easy, either along the frame, or inside the belly fabric. I would use a wire loom in any case.
Please post a link to the lights you used or model number. I also know there are some kits out there that come with everything needed like KC has.
Thanks for the help
Keith
