Red face New to Full-timing - where to winter that's not FL, CA or AZ - GO!

    Hi all ...

Trying to get our winter planned ... I know I am probably late but with all the COVID stuff just finding spots this summer has been challenging. Hubby is still working full time so no boondocking and need good connectivity. Prefer not to be in FL, CA or AZ - maybe not even TX. Where are some places you've stayed and would highly recommend for wintering. Like it to be on the warmer side but not necessarily beach weather. Upper 60's to mid 70's for ave daytime high would be ideal
    Thanks

Have you considered SC? Plenty of state parks open all year as well as numerous private campgrounds.

i know you said maybe not even Texas, but right now we are seeing a lot more RVers staying here in this area instead of FL. We are at the Bellamont RV Park in Bastrop Texas, 25 miles Southeast of Austin. Its a brand new RV Park. There are now some 30 RV parks within a 10 mile radius of Bastrop. Bellamont RV Park is 90 sites, gravel pads with sodded grass, 525 plus electric, includes onsite water, sewer, trash, campground provided personal hot spot, access to on site laundry. 50$ option for a wooden onsite storage shed. Sand volleyball and a small lake. We are 1 mile from a Lowe's or Home Depot but secluded. We're in site 2 see pic, the other pic is what I woke up to this morning. We use AT&T cell phone, great signal. Use a cell phone Visable hot spot, works off Verizon towers, also great signal. Can download Netflix and Amazon Prime easy.
Its hot right now 100s. In the winter Dec-Feb average temp 65-70. We might have one weekend down in the 40s or a freak snow flurry. One year it snowed as far south as Galveston, but freeky.

    Just an FYI

Thanks! I will look into that area. I was told by another that the Carolina's get pretty chilly ... high's in the 50's. Not a deal breaker though.

Yes we have definitely considered the Carolina's ... someone had told me that the average high in the Carolina's is in the 50's. Not a deal breaker ... thought a little warmer average would be nice Thanks for the response!

Alabama has a bunch of places along the Gulf Coast. But it sounds like you don't want to be around the typical "snowbirds" so maybe that area is ruled out too? You didn't rule out NM, so maybe there is something there.

I don't think you're going to find upper 60s to 70s if you rule out the places with those temperatures. Certainly not anywhere in NC or SC. Maybe south GA?

    Yep,

I live close to Gulf State Park in Gulf Shore, AL. Lot of northern tags in the summer. Its a nice park tho. I would recommend it to anyone. For a few bucks more a night you can Stay at Pandion Ridge RV resort around the corner.
