    Swaying No, Porpoising Yes

Just changed trucks, and did some adjusting to WDH as new truck has higher hitch. Followed the instructions, then took a test drive about 15 miles, speeds up to 70mph. Mostly flat, but some Florida hills. ZERO sway, but did experience some mild porpoising. TT NOT loaded for camping.

What's causing porpoising, and how to correct it?

Been awhile since I pulled a TT but I would guess not enough tongue weight

It should probably be loaded and then test drive the mash-up. Then decide which direction to go.

I would have said not enough weight on the front end of the truck or front shocks on the truck are weak. I find when I rent a trailer (not camper, just utility) I always end up with a lighter front end and get too much bounce.

Thanks. Using the WDH I got front within 1/8 inch of original height. Truck is new to me bought it used with 14200 miles, decertified by GMC dealer. Shocks should be still good. Should.

I would go with weight distribution as the number one problem, but there is another very rare issue that has arisen that causes porpoising, brake adjustment. Next time you drive 15 - 20 miles or so check you hub/brake temps.
