    2670MK Light Change

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking to swap out the light above my desk on my 2670MK. It's way too bright at night. I would like to get another light they use for above the bed and put it in it's place. I like the idea of being able to adjust the direction and change the light from white to blue.

Would this be as simple as removing the old light and putting the new light in? Or would it require some kind of electrical modification?

Instead of replacing the light, you could install a switch with a dimmer. That's what I did for my ceiling and dinettte lights. Works great.

Swapping the light should also be a straightforward option.

Here is a link to the dimmer switch if needed:

How hard would it be to put this dimmer switch for the entire main room lights? We find these LEDs are blinding and would like the option to dim them?

Did you have to replace the LED’s or are they dimmable?

Most 12V LEDs are dimmable. Generally you can just replace the switch, if the negative wire is reachable.
This guy goes into detail. http://www.rv-project.com/gear/dimmers.php

You might be able to buy a bluetooth controlled bulb as well and control it with your phone I would imagine. Keep the switch on, turn it on and off with the phone, change colors etc., especially if you are just talking about one bulb.

We haven't taken ownership of ours yet so not sure what bulb is in there.

So much to learn! As far as I've ever heard, all RV lighting is 12V based and all Smart Bulbs are 120V.

We were all beginners at some point!
