Slide out covers pulling out from rail.

I just noticed my slide out cover has pulled away from the rail that is attached to the RV. I tried to find some youtube videos on this issue but i couldn't find any. Looks like i'm gonna have to remove the cover and reinstall it. Can someone give me some advice about this? thank you.

I found the spline in my slideout cover to be a size to small..... also the dealer didn't secure the spline on both ends with a sheet metal screw... so it worked out the back leaving the front 12 inches with no spline....

My awning did this. There is a plastic "tube" that fits inside the sleeve in the awning. This tube is what holds the awning to the channel attached to the RV. In my case, this tube had slid out of the end of the awning. Rather than trying to push this "tube" back into the sleeve, I cut a wooden BBQ skewer to length and pushed that into the awning sleeve that pulled away from the RV. Worked great. What I've written probably makes no sense. If not, let me know and I'll try to explain it better and include photos.

How did you get the cover back into the spline without having to take the cover off.

my tube is still in place, it didn't come out either end, so I don't know how to put the section that pulled out back in.

I removed tension by unwinding the tube then stuffed the awning back into the track slide the spline back in the groove... can't say how well it worked as we lost the cover in a North Dakota wind storm ... ... starting to think cover is more trouble than it's worth....
