Internet Options
Hoping for some suggestions and appreciate the feedback in advance. With COVID-19 causing work and school to be remote we are looking at hitting the road to get kids out of house. We generally stay in CA and most of the time in the Santa Ynez Valley. What are the best options for an internet connection? We have tried Mifi and hot spots but they are not consistent enough. Appreciate the help!

Internet on the road
I believe Internet via cellular is going to be your only real option. It is just a matter of which provider has the best coverage. Chad from Changing Lanes (YouTube) has an excellent video that covers "Awesome Moboile Internet || Working from the Road" this may be overkill for most but he does a great job of explaining the options and the differnces between the different options.

The gentleman on RV Lifestyles just posted the below video reviewing Nomad Internet that seems like a pretty solid option for truly unlimited (un-throttled) cellular Internet.

I always use this website to see what the nearest cell towers are what they're coverage is.

It's all about cellular signal strength and the carrier you use. If you have a good signal, there are many equipment and cell plan options to choose from that can give you excellent internet speeds. If you don't have a cell signal, no amount of equipment will help.
We have a Pepwave cellular router with roof antenna and a truly unlimited AT&T data plan with no caps. As long as we have a decent AT&T signal, we get good (50-75Mbps) wifi speeds.Brian & Kellie
