Goosebox WITHOUT B&W 4" offset ball Shortbed

Is anyone running a Goosebox 2 on a CCSB without a B&W 4" offset ball?
I really want to buy one but would like to read other peoples experiences before I buy one as it's a Want and not a Need.
    Thanks

I am pondering this same thing. Hopefully someone weighs in with their experiences.

Beginning of this year, we upgraded to a 2018 Reflection 337RLS. We pull it with a 2017 F250 CCSB. A big reason for the upgrade was to add the Reese Goosebox. I was tired of taking the hitch in and out of the truck bed. We do not have an offset ball. We have been to one RV park and three Wisconsin State Parks this summer. All were back in sites. I can say to this point we have had enough room to comfortably maneuver the trailer. I will qualify that by adding we have not yet needed to make a hard turn and have been very conscious of the truck cab and the trailer corners. So far, very happy with hitch. I hope this helps.

On the Ford forum one of the guys posted pictures of his F350 CCSB using factory stock 5th wheel hitch and ball in stock location. He has a late model 5th wheel with a front cap similar to Grand Design. He can turn about 80 degrees give or take. If I need to turn that sharp or sharper I'll do it in two or three tries.

We just purchased a Reflection 311BHS and went with the Goose Box and 4" offset ball. I'm not positive we needed the offset, but the $100 peace of mind was worth it. We're picking it up next weekend so I'll let you know how it works out.

I'm defiantly getting one, life gets in the way of a "want" vs "need". I think it will be in a month or two.

We are up grading to a Solitude here in a couple of months and been looking at the Resse Goos neck to run with our Chevy CCSB with the factory Goose hitch. Been unable to find one who makes an offset for the factory goose hitch. We’ve been wondering the same thing. But, every review we have read or watched is the same thing, mind your cab and don’t make any sudden sharp turns, you should be good to go. Still might buy a headache rack for piece of mind.

I wanted to see if anyone can weigh in on a Reese Goosebox with a 2018 (or similar year model) Ram 3500 MegaCab SRW short bed. I have the factory tow package and currently own a Curt goose ball and tow chains I use on my horse trailer. I currently pull my 2021 303RLS with pullrite rails that mount into my puck system and a 2700 Pullrite SuperGlide hitch. Even though it tows well and I have a tractor with forks, it is a pain to constantly remove and reinstall this heavy hitch between camping trips. I have a Truck Covers USA American Roll Tonneau cover which barely clears the Pullrite hitch and in fact I broke the locking mechanism trying to force it closed (cover was over $1800 installed). It would be way simpler to just remove a ball from the bed. If I can get close to 80 to 90 degrees without an offset and plenty of bed clearance I would be happy. The Reflection fifth wheel appears to have enough tapering for clearance but I would like some real world experience. I included a picture of my current hitch.
