Cleaning the Shower
Hello All,
Deb wants to know what others are using to clean the shower so that she doesn't mar the finish? She would use Soft Scrub but is a little hesitant although it says it won't scratch. I'm thinking just 409 or some other low sudsing spray on multi-surface cleaner will work.
Thanks,Paul "Poppy" and Deb Cervone

I fill the bathroom sink with hot water and dish soap. then I use it with a wash cloth to clean the shower stall. When I'm done, I use the shower head to rinse it all off, and a towel to dry it. Works great, and no scratching. Plus, the soapy water helps clean the gray water holding tank.

After it is all clean, I give the inside glass a good coat and polish of automotive paste wax.

We wipe down the glass and shower walls with a squeegee. Last to take a shower gets to do the wipe down
The paste wax idea sounds like a great idea for shedding water. I wonder if Rain-X might be even better ?
Think I will try the Rain-X . . .

I had a shower glass guy tell me to never use wax or Rain-X (which is also a wax). He said it can work it's way into the micro pores of the glass and will stay there. Over time, the wax will yellow, and it's a bear to get out. It may take months or years to notice, but by then, the damage will be done.

We have a shower squeegee that hangs on a suction cup hook in the shower. 30 seconds to blade the water off the glass and enclosure, it looks new all the time!

We use a squeegee too. Wipe the shower walls, then the glass door, followed by a quick swipe with the towel to dry anything that was missed. Works great!
