    President's Day / Valentine's Weekend

Man I can't wait but we are taking a short trip over Valentine's / President's Day weekend just to get away in our new rig. We've only been in the trailer a total of 6 nights since the first of the year when we picked it up, so we're very excited.

Traveling with our close RV friends (2 other couples) leaving tomorrow and returning Sunday. Way too short but it will be nice. We're also not going very far, about an hour south but it will feel like we're a thousand miles from home.

Anyone else going away for the "Holiday weekend"?

Our Reflection 337 is in transit back from the factory. We can't wait to hit the road again. In the mean time, we've been planning our summer journey through the Rockies. We plan on hitting some familiar National Parks and some we've never been to before. On the list is Rocky Mountain NP, Yellowstone NP, Glacier NP, Capitol Reef NP, and Great Basin NP. In June, we plan on spending our 40th Anniversary at an RV park in Las Vegas where we have tickets to a Brooks and Dunn/Reba concert.

Wow, that's great news Jim!! I'm sure many of us are eager to hear your feedback when she returns to you.

Yeah, we have an incredibly busy RV schedule for 2015. We will be away from home a good 4 to 5 months over the rest of the year! Going to put a whole heck of a lot of miles and time on the new trailer.

In March we will be on a week trip starting in Death Valley, CA on to Zion, UT and then Page, AZ.

April we will be beach camping at Carlsbad State Beach for a week.

May we will be in your neck of the woods staying 7 nights at Catalina State Park in Tucson.

June we will spend 2 weeks traveling the California and Oregon Coast.

Mid August we leave for 3 to 4 months on our cross country trip.

I'm sure we will fit in some short weekend trips along the way.

    Woohoo, let the fun begin!

All cleaned up, loaded and ready to take off. We both wish we were going today! Looking for mid 80's over the next couple of days. Looks like we may be able to test the A/C units out.

Also got my new hitch the other day so this is the first time to test it out. I absolutely love it so far. Very easy to hook up. Some talk about the difficulty of getting lined up is nonsense from people who don't have one to try. Way easier than a bumper pull and actually no harder than my traditional 5th wheel hitch was. I have a little flag I use to show me the ball from the cab and back up keeping it lined up with the middle of the PIN box and badda bing, badda boom. Got it first time. I drove it around the block and did some sharp turns and off camber stuff and it preformed very well. I wanted to drop 100 lbs in the bed of the truck and I accomplished a little more than that between this hitch (less than 60 lbs total) and the 16k Husky with the slider (close to 200 lbs).

Truck and trailer sit level and plenty of bad rail clearance.

Anyway, just thought I would give that preliminary report.

Yes, looks great! We won't take possession of our Momentum 355TH until 2/27, so, we're off to Mexico for Valentines Day/ Presidents Day week. But can't wait for the new TH to arrive!

    Paul,

I have been using the Anderson hitch for about a year now and have had no problems. I have the model that goes over a ball in the bed. I have a flat bed on my 2010 ford with a recessed ball. And a turn over ball in the 2012. You only have to change the middle tube from longer to shorter to use in both trucks. I really like the fact I can use the hitch in either truck in minutes. Good luck in your travels!

Good to hear! I already had the rails so this model worked perfectly for me and I couldn't believe the price compared to other hitches ($399 shipped!!!) I have my ball set in the second hole and it seems perfect.

Can't wait to get some towed miles on it and see how it feels.

    Paul,

I have mine in the lower hole as well. I cant imagine when you would need it all the way up. On my flat bed it runs a little nose high, but with either truck it pulls very well and rides good.
