Well, we just got back from a 6 week (6,000 mile trip) and the camera system worked great. No issues at all. The way I mounted it was extremely stable and worked out great.... I did foam seal the ends of the conduit where the cable came out, to make sure there was no water intrusion.

I haven't taken any pics but we finally installed ours. I ended up mounting it directly to the back wall. Very satisfied with the way it turned out!!!!

Yes. Drilled two holes to mount the camera. One went easy and one hit an aluminum something and was a bit more resistance on the drill. Mounted with #10 self tapping about 1” long. Didn’t want to break through to the interior, hence the 1” screws. Both snuggled up good. I was careful to not strip them esp the one that just had fiberglass. I put a dab of silicone in the holes before the screws. Working great now for about 6000 miles. Will attempt to post a picture.

Jumping on the most populated thread to report that the '22s with the fifth wheel prep still have the 4-pin in the bed rather than the camera jack. The owner of my company just picked up a '24 2500HD Denali and has the same. Shame they're not fixing this.
I installed my camera this past weekend and routed down the rear left side then through a frame rail up to the front. I then went up and over to the pinbox.
I just ordered this female to male fakra extension cable to try and do a temporary workaround. I intend to just plug it into the existing jack and jump through the gap under the license plate and up through the bedside. There's a rubber grommet in the cutout in the bed rail I can pop out through into the bed and then zip it in to one of the cargo hooks. I'll report back on how it works!

Note that the camera plug can be removed. Several videos on that because people had to repair. I wish I had removed it during install so I could just have drilled a small hole (Coax size) during my routing of the cable)Last edited by RonSel; 06-22-2023 at 05:05 AM.
