    2800 BH Second AC wiring

My son has a 2019 or 2020 Imagine 2800 BH. He wants a second AC in place of the bedroom vent. I just installed one on my reflection. Can anyone tell me if the 2800 BH is pre wired for the second AC? I know I can peak up in the vent cavity if needed to check. Just thought I’d ask first. Thanks.

Hello Steve! I have a 2019 2800bh and it is pre-wired for the bedroom a/c. I also just checked the Grand Design website and it shows this as a mandatory option:

    50 Amp Service Wired and Framed for 2nd AC (2670MK, 2800BH, 2970RL, 3000QB, 3100RD, and 3250BH only)

    Hope this helps!

Thank you very much. I didn’t see that on the website. Time to move forward with the project.

Keep me posted with your progress! I'm curious of how complicated it is as well as the overall cost.

    thanks!

It is wired for the AC if you use the AC that has the thermostat built into the unit. If you want to use a remote T-Stat you will need to run a 12 volt DC Circuit to the unit and have the T-Stat board in the AC.
