    2021 2970RL Bedroom Cubby Pictures

I took some pictures today with the top drawer removed. It appears they just built a box with a bottom and then mounted it to two strips of wood that were mounted to the backside of the wall. They used 2 screws on each side as you can see in the outside photo. I checked around the box and there are no other supports holding the cubby up. I would have, and I might still, put a support on the back side of the box going down to the platform below. If you left something heavy in here it is quite possible the box could fall off without an additional support.

The vertical support in the back in the second picture only supports the drawers. It is not connected to the box in any way.

    Hope these help.

Yes I think cubbies is a mid cycle add. I noticed for example videos of the 2021 Imagine 23BHE not having it, but the a video done in August did. I've then seen a lot of videos this way. What a great upgrade and use of space.

I agree, our 2021 was an early cycle a d does not have this. Did notice you can find part numbers for matching trim pieces on GD website and order through local dealer. I plan to price the trim pieces out, at least the picture frame material

Our 2021 2500RL has the cubbies. The sales guy did a virtual walkthrough and I was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I like them alot. So does the cat.

To Imagene, thank you for this Forum. We had the same question for a very different purpose. We are considering the purchase of a new TT and have been seriously considering the Reflection and Imagine. However, the King Bed option is not avaible in a trailer length that is suitable for our lifestyle. So we have been wondering if one of the wardrobes could be removed. As was stated in follow posts to your original question, pre-2020 Imagines and late model Reflection overhead cabinets go wall to wall. Therefore, as you astutely discovered, means the wardrobe can be removed. But in our case, we will need to redo the headboard and shelf if it is the Reflection. The 2021 Imagine can not be modified to the best of my knowledge because they raised the wardrobe to add cubbies and drawers. It is my hope that upon removing the wardrobe and headboard that the wall paper finishes go all teh way to the corner. It will make finishing the newly opened space much easier. Thanks again for your post. If you have pictures of the results to share, we would love to see them.

Wife and I looked at a 2021 2670MK over the weekend. We liked most everything about it EXCEPT the wardrobes on either side of the bed! Just checking in to see if there were anyone who has successfully removed these? The bedroom closet is big enough for us the way we use the camper and obviously I’d want to be able to reinstall the wardrobes at a later date for resale value.
