Geeze, as if I don't have enough things to worry about while towing. Hope they fixed this in the 2020 trucks.

Agreed! And with the dually you can't see the tailgate in the side mirror. Also of note in the 2020, the tailgate alert in the dash only activates if the tailgate opens while you're out of park. Meaning that if you forget to close it then get in to drive, there is no indication.

BTW, the BD3 hitch is AWESOME. I'm glad I found your post about it here.

Maybe when Ford figures that out they can work on my gas gauge/miles to empty. It shouldn't show completely empty with 6 gallons left in the tank.
The local dealer says there is no problem with it. I say BS
