    Furrion Stereo

    Good afternoon,

We have an issue with our FM Stereo. When it is plugged in to shore power it will not pick up FM stations well at all, when utilizing batteries, it works great. Has anyone else experienced this? I had it on my list of items when I dropped her off. When I was going over issues with dealer - it was not plugged in and it worked. Did not know that it was power killing it.

Two other issues that I had to get GD involved in, microwave shuts off when cooking baked potato and sleeper sofa will not lie flat. Dealer tested microwave for 3-4-5 minutes with negative results and said it was fine. I asked them if they cooked a potato in it.....Ahhhh. Would not call GD to swap out couch.

I don't use the FM Stereo much, but I think I read somewhere that you need to have your rooftop TV antenna deployed for the radio to pick up signals. That doesn't explain why you got stations on battery power and not shore power, but you might try it.

I have seen a couple of others mention that the sleeper sofa does not lay level. There is apparently some adjustment in the legs that fold out. I know a couple of people actually removed the legs and cut them down by the length necessary to make it level.

Dave, I have also read that you need to NOT have the antenna booster on to receive FM signal. I don't think that would make a difference either between shore power or battery, but the booster is run on 12 volt.

We have found that you don't have to have the antenna booster on for FM but it helps with reception. If you search there was a thread about this on the forum. Ditto on the unlevel bed.

2 hams is right, I had it backwards in my head. (Getting old I guess, cant remember anything). If you are hooked to cable you will have to turn booster back off to watch tv though.

I have tried it with antenna up/booster on as well as antenna up/booster off. No luck either way. We are headed out this weekend for Bishop's Landing in Lake Willis. I will try without power first, then plug her in.

I also plan on video taping the microwave shutting off with bake potato in it.......My dealer is supposed to be working with GD on sofa not being flat. They told me to call them after this trip. I told them I won't drop it off till a new couch and microwave come in. Don't want to miss a camping trip!!

I have noticed when I play a dvd every time the music or some loud sound plays on the speakers the tv gets lines like signal interference. Any ideas on why this would happen.
