Microwave probs.
I have a 2018 solitude 375res. Our high point microwave seems to short out somewhat when we open and close the door. Sometimes blows fuse sometimes turns TV off? Any ideas?. Not sure if it's just the microwave or some wiring?

Being in a different area than the TV my guess is it's something within the microwave, but it's just a guess. Have you checked for wiring problems in that slide? Check the wiring at the plug as well. . I wouldn't use the microwave , throwing sparks and microwave signals far enough to turn off the TV sounds fairly unsafe

I have a very similar problem. The microwave blew a fuse which I replaced. When the door closes, it blows the fuse again. The blown fuse if directly related to closing the door. Anyone have a suggestion?

I hired an appliance repair guy to come and fix the high point microwave. He replaced 2 switches on the door and tested the unit and it still quit working. He said it would cost more to repair it than to get a new one. So, now I’m trying to find a replacement. Trying to find the high point brand with no luck. The repair guy said to get a whirlpool and suggested Lowes or Home Depot.

I had the same problem, then I saw this post: https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...-for-microwave. Watched the YouTube video, then ordered these (links below) parts from Amazon and replaced them. It’s been working for the last 5 weeks.

Thanks for the insights/link. Whish I'd seen that before my appliance repair guy came. But it is a moot point.... My appliance repair guy convinced me that it would cost more to repair it than to replace it. It's gone to recycle land. So, I'm shopping for a replacement. Tossing around the idea of getting a North Pointe replacement or go to a big brand like whirlpool. Bride wants the convection feature. Any thoughts?
