Paul, it's an oldie but a goodie! It just hit 120k miles, I did injector o rings, glow plugs, wire harness and relay two weeks ago. A new transmission 10k ago, so I should be good for the long haul! No emissions, DPF, or DEF and the best part, it's PAID FOR! That leaves money for the new 337 that tags along!

1970kw - Amen to the paid for truck! Our '02 has 238,000 on it, but she pulls good. Hope to get a few more years out of her.
Jthamilton - I can't find any pics, but this weekend I will load up the kayaks to take some pics for you. And I will double check the name of rack company, paperwork is in RV.Scott and Jan Platt Ocala, FL

Thanks Scott. Kayaks are something new to us but we have always wanted some. We intend on using them around the mountain lakes where we live!

Jthamilton, if you find a way to haul your kyaks on the trailer, it may be nice to have an option to haul them on the truck as well if you want to take them on a day trip with you. We have stayed at parks with lakes nearby but not at the campground.

I like the US Rack setup. However, as I have a tonou cover on the truck that isn't an option for me. Traditional roof rack setup seems to work well.

Jthamilton - it is US rack, they call it Fifth Wheel Rack. I will still try to get some pics this weekend, but at least you can see it on their website. It was very easy to assemble and install.
Kayaks are a lot of fun. Very peaceful when you get out there alone with nature. We've kayaked countless times here in FL with dolphins, manatees, and alligators. It is also good exercise if you want it to be, or you just relax and go slow.Scott and Jan Platt Ocala, FL

Here you go. I didn't strap down kayaks, just threw them up there for the pics, they pull down a little flatter when tied down. When we use only 2 kayaks they lay flat side by side, when we use 4 I just stack the fourth one on top of the center kayak. You can buy the optional cross bars that Yakima? Kayak carriers attach to. I didn't want to spend any more $. Save that for the camper!!Scott and Jan Platt Ocala, FL
