securing equipment stored under the bunk in a 2020 21 bhe
My camper has bunk beds with a huge space under the bottom bunk where I can stow those aluminum roll up tables I'll be using for my outdoor kitchen. I have a broom and some other stuff that I want to slide under there while driving. Does anyone know how important it is to try to lock that stuff down so it isn't sliding around? Any good ideas on how to secure it?

We've never had anything move around under the bunk in our 21bhe and don't have it secured in any way.

I am also interested in the answer to this.
How about installing hooks on the wall portion under the bed, not the bathroom sidewalk but the wall that is where the outdoor kitchen is? And then strapping your gear to that

So far nothing seems to need securing there in our 21bhe. We have small dogs and discovered its a good place for dog beds. Both beds and dogs can get out of the way!

It depends a lot on how you drive. We have a small “drawer-liner” piece of rubber mat that we keep on the coffee counter in our 303. I leave two coffee makers and a paper towel holder there and have never had anything move. Not even an inch. The same with the fridge. Nothing has ever spilled or fallen out when opening a door, even after a long drive. We’ve also never had a cabinet door come open or anything fall out of a cabinet, either en-route or upon arrival at our destination.
I look ahead for obstacles and potholes and usually miss them without an “emergency avoidance” type of action. We occasionally will pass another unit, so I’m not the slowest driver out there. Just average.
On the other hand, we’ve been passed by some along the way, and I’d hate to see the inside of their rig when they arrive. In WV, we were passed by one that actually hit the guard rail in the oncoming lane before straightening things out. I really don’t want to see the inside of his rig.Tom and Janice (known as Tom in PGH on the “other” forum)
