    Suspension upgrades not helping

Ok 2800BH owners (or others). Towing our 2800 with a 2019 Ford Expy with HD towing. 9200 lb towing capacity. Blue Ox Sway Pro hitch. Installed CRE-3000 and Sumo springs before our first trip last weekend. Once on the road, I experienced a TON of bouncing and push-pull. Anything over 65 was white knuckle driving. Maybe I just stay at 60 mph for all my driving? Semi trucks were pushing me all over the place. I thought the suspension upgrades would have helped. Any suggestions short of replacing the TV? Thanks all.

That's a whole lot of tt for that TV. You must be way over your payload and other capacities.

Thanks. When I ran the numbers, it was close, but with just 2 adults, one teen and minimal gear in the TV, it looked like we were the good. CAT scales the fail safe way to know for sure?

Cat scale will tell all. You'll need 3 readings. 1. TV and tt with wdh engage, 2. TV and tt with wdh disengage, 3. TV only. With these 3 readings, you'll get all the numbers you need. You can post them back and we will help you figure them out.

Besides being within capacities of TV. The way you load your TT makes a huge difference. Ideally you want your tongue weight to be 12 - 15% of the trailers actual weight. Best way to figure that out is multiple trips to a CAT scale or get a tounge weight scale.

You should still goto the CAT scale as described above to see where you are at with your TV.

Tires can make a difference also....to much flex for a more car like ride....and bad towing.

Also make sure that the WDH is setup correctly putting pretty much all of the un-hitched weight back on the front axle. Front axle should be within 100 - 200 lbs for best stability. If your WDH is not setup properly that can be the cause of a lot of stability issues. Also make sure that the trailer is level or slightly nose down. Nose up will also be less stable.

I'm going to throw in that SUV suspensions are notoriously soft for a great "Cadillac" like ride.

Maybe look into air bags to supplement the soft suspension.
