Light gap in floor at both ends of slide out, ok or not?

We have a new 2021 Imagine XLS 22MLE. We can see light coming through gaps in the floor at both ends of the slide out. I'd estimate that the gap is at least 1/4 inch wide and 3 to 4 inches long (certainly seems large enough to allow water, bugs and rodents enter). Is this "expected" or not?

We have friends who bought the exact same model this year too, and they don't have the light gap that we see....

Have others seen this and can it be fixed easily?

My 2019 2800bh has/had the same issue on one of the side of my slide. I just got under the slide and manipulated the foam to un-crush it. It still lets a small amount of light through but it is much better.

I have a similar issue with my 2021 22mle slide. There are 1/4" holes drilled in the floor on either side of the slide. I contacted Grand Design and they indicated that they are for drainage. I am concerned that these holes are an open invitation for rodents, bugs, etc. Has anyone dealt with issue and how? Has anyone else reached out to Grand Design regarding this design?

My solitude is much older and has slide issues so when we found light visible when retracted I used steel wool to fill the gap.
