Black holding tank chemicals
We had a Heartland Travel Trailer before we bought our Reflection. We had always used Camco drop in's that were blue in color. They always seemed to be effective and we never had an odor. We switched to Camco Orange Power liquid treatment two trips ago. We didn't have any odor while on our short trip but boy, when we set up this past weekend, different story. We got set up and I went to put another bottle down the toilet and the smell waiting for us was nasty. And I know I drained the black tank properly the trip before. We could smell it throughout our four day trip every time we flushed even with the new bottle of treatment in the tank.
So, I guess my question is twofold....
What is your preferred toilet chemical while 5th Wheel is in use? Should we store the rig with water and chemical in the black tank to avoid this in the future?
We are still newbs at this. Thanks!!
