TPMS is a good idea. You can catch it BEFORE it goes flat.

Tires may look good, but if they're old you can have problems. I had several go flat and disintegrate because of a bad valve stem.

Pulled over right away, no damage to the trailer...thank goodness, called roadside assistance and they came and changed the tire out. Only damage was to the rim, the tire shop thought they could fix, but I’ve worked in the tire industry for years, and said nope, replace! And like others, didn’t feel a thing. I am interested to look more into these systems talked about, but honestly would have to see bang for buck if they’re that expensive
Our TPMS works well for us. It has 6 sensors. 4 are used on our trailer. The other two could be used on the truck spare and trailer spare (just to watch the pressure). This TPMS is cheap at $120. We've paid a lot more for others that failed. Normally don't get the extended warranty but did for this. https://www.amazon.com/Blueskysea-Wi...ct_top?ie=UTF8

Maybe some of the newer really expensive ones, but none that I have ever seen. Most companies figure a few minutes of a driver's time to check and fill the tires is cheaper than TPMS.
