    Best decision I've ever made...

    was buying this truck.
Pulled our 376th with a sxs in the garage, to Silverton, Co. on Friday.
What a great way to travel.
Wife unit loves the whole package.

That is a fantastic setup my friend, but the best decision you've ever made? Wife loves "the whole package" right up until she hears that declaration.

That's a good looking setup. But I think that's the second best decision you've made. The first was marrying a gal that love's to go Rving. LOL

P.S. where did you find the truck?

Splatt that is a good looking rig no doubt. You have inspired me as a matter of fact. While I hate to leave GD they don't make my next setup, what do you all think? Click image for larger version.

I joined a FB group called HDT for RV'ing.said I was interested in going the HDT route.
An admin/mod contacted me, that he was interested in selling his Volvo 610, because he was downsizing.
He was actively towing with it, and was near me.
We chatted, came up with a price, and a plan.
    I bought it !!
Unbelievable difference at towing between a pickup, and this truck.
Feels soooo much more stable, more power, more brakes, and less because of the jake.
Inside the truck, no climbing over front seats to get in the back. Just stand up, and get something, or lay down, or in the future, watch tv, microwave something, open the fridge for a cold drink. Etc...

Ok, I'll be the guy to ask, what's your MPG with that rig towing?

Oh, and Txfivver, I know your joking, but that 5er you posted is a custom 4 axle made by Weekend Warrior. Complete junk. Ask me how I know.

Haven't gone very far yet, but pulling up n over the mountains to Silverton, Co., being the hardest pulls so far, I am at 8.7 mpg. Not going that route and staying on smaller hills, I'm at 9.
For me, going this route, i didn't do it for mpg. I did it for peace of mind.
Using a tow vehicle of this size is very relaxing while driving. No more screaming motors, no more limited to front seats, only having to touch the brakes to slow on sharp corners going down hills.
This is our 4th 5er, and 1st HDT. So I can pretty much say BTDT with pickups, and this is the way to go.
It also turns way sharper than my Ford F350 lb, cc.

Tbh, that's no worse than any pickup towing a heavy load up and down mountains. I actually considered something similar many years ago. At that time, it just wasn't feasible.

We're you in Peak 1, between Frisco and Breckenridge, I saw one here lately? A very similar setup here.
