No worries at all! Surprisingly, our accessories all came in today, but it will be a bit before we can play with installation, I think. Thanks so much for responding. We're definitely excited about the truck upgrade (and I'm so excited to not be quite so anxious on tow days).

Here is how I mounted our camera. Small piece of aluminum with u bolts mounted to the spare tire carrier. I used smaller u bolts to holt the camera to the aluminum. It required drilling a couple more holes in the camera bracket. We expected some vibration with this setup but has actually been very sturdy and steady.
The wire is zip tied to the propane hose every couple feet. The best part of this setup is that it required no drilling, and the wires are fairly well hidden.
Note, that this is the optimum location if you have transparent trailer view, which I do not have. But I mounted the camera before realizing that was the case.... Attached is also a pic of the camera view. It’s a a good angle and perspective both for seeing traffic while driving and still good for backing the trailer up.

So I ordered my camera, got it installed, and have come to find out that the “transparent trailer view” is not compatible with 5th wheel trailers. I am dumbfounded. I would guess the vast majority of people buying these trucks are towing fifth wheel trailers. My dealer doesn’t know why this is, and calling GMC was a waste of time. In answer to someone’s question about pre-wiring, you have to use the supplied cable that comes with the camera , which means you have to run the wire down the back of the trailer, then either along the roof or tucked underneath, all the way to the front. I chose underneath and got it done pretty cleanly. But then you realize that the only plug in for said cable is on the bumper. So now I have to hang the cable off of the 5th wheel hitch down to the bumper. Not ideal to say the least. I tried to fool the truck into thinking the trailer was a tow behind, but it would not calibrate with the dimensions I entered. It works great as a back up camera, but very disappointed about the transparent trailer view. Anyone else have experience with this? I just cannot believe they could not make this work for 5th wheels.

Did you ever get the camera? I just purchased one, and am starting to try and figure out how/where to run the wire...2019 351M.

I did but haven't had the chance to set it up. I'm leaning twords making a base out of plastic or wood and then mounting the base with VHB tape. Once I get it all ironed out I will definitely share!!!!
