    Best 5th wheel anti-chucking choice?

Wondering which choice would be better for reducing chucking: Andersen/Pullrite ball hitch or MORryde pin box? Currently pulling Reflection 29RS (10995 GVWR) Lippert 1621 pin box with Chevy 2500HD Duramax with B&W Patriot slider. Getting Air Lift bags installed this week.

Have a 293 RES and pull with GMC duramax 2500. I have a B & W hitch and have very little chucking. Mine is not a slider.

If you want to reduce chucking, you need to reduce motion between the truck and RV. The Andersen hitch is a solid attachment so that won't help at all. The MORryde pin box will.

Keep in mind, some people have different ideas of what "chucking" is. To me, it the fore-aft movement between the truck and RV as they traverse uneven road surfaces, expansion joints in a bridge, etc.

Thevthing about the Andersen is that its on a ball so maybe no chucking? I am still leaning toward a MORryde though.

A solid connection between the truck and RV (Andersen, B&W Companion, etc) will do nothing to help chucking. If you watch the MORryde pinbox in action on a rough road, you'll see why it reduces chucking. It slides a couple inches fore and aft. That movement is absorbing that energy (chucking). Any hitch with a solid connection transmits 100% of the up/down/fore/aft motion to the truck. That's why I have both an air bag hitch (to absorb up/down motion) and a MORryde pin box (for fore/aft motion). Makes for a smooooooth ride.

And BTW, Andersen and B&W hitches are two of the most popular hitches sold. I'm not saying they aren't good hitches. I'm just answering your original question. If you want to reduce chucking, the MORryde will help.

We don't know anything about the Anderson ball hitch, but we upgraded to the MORryde pin box before our trip to Canada and are very happy with the results.

We have a 26RL and tow with an F250. No slider.

Air Save hitches have 4 airbags and two shocks to control the movement. They will take out 90 to 95% of the chucking and banging.
