What was your first upgrade before you hit the road?

Hi new to RVíng, I am curious what was your first upgrade before you hit the road?
If you plan to go camping

None. When we purchased our Imagine we went in it just as it was built. Eventually, maybe a year later we upgraded the suspension to MORryde CREs and wet bolts. Up graded the stabilizer jacks to 7500# and installed BAL jack struts.
When we got our Solitude same thing, we traveled in it just as it was built. A year later I installed new wet bolts and HD shackles to the suspension while repacking the wheel bearings and installed centramatics wheel balancers. I installed a hard wired power monitor. I also installed a MORryde pin box.

Our first mod was 2 actually. The weekend we brought-r-home I installed a hard wired Progressive Industries 50 amp EMS and a TPMS. I wasn't going to take a chance on bad power damaging our new 381M, and having had tire issues on our previous Springdale that a fellow motorist pointed out (I was unaware) again, I wasn't going to take the chance.

I had two also. First trip was 1k miles a week after I bought it. Bought an external EMS, and new sewer slinkies.

Look around for my posts in the Mods and DIY section!
I’ve done probably 50+ upgrades to our rig, totaling over $15k, most of them before hitting the road.

Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS from TST)

My first real mod was to put an LED strip down the inside door frame of the pantry so I can find my food on the bottom shelves! (pics and description on this forum)

These were our first two mods, as well - on both fifth wheels.

My first mod\addition was a Progressive Industries 50 amp ems. I tried to change the valve stems for my TST tpms sensors but my tire guy didn't have any that fit our rims. We were only going 50 or so miles so I didn't sweat it too much. I got the stems changed before heading to the beach last month. Since then I changed the fittings on both faucets where they connect from the pex supply lines. I had a leak while at the beach so I changed the other three since I didn't have much faith in the ones that came in the trailer. The sharkbite/Apollo pex ones are a lot better than the stock ones. The boss also said to change out the mattress after the week at the beach. We went with the same mattress we have at the house, a Zinus from Amazon.

Our first upgrade was a new mattress. Second was the Progressive EMS. Been a lot since then.
