    mounting tv

Have a new 303rls. looks like there is room between entrance to bedroom and sliding door to bathroom to mount tv on stud in wall. View from bed would be straight away ? Has anybody done this? Sure would be a better place to mount tv as far as angle from bed???

wouldn't that interfere with the sliding bathroom door?

With the mount I have, the TV will be far enough out from wall, so as not to interfere with sliding door. Bracket mounted to wall will clear also.

I'm going to mount my television where the steel backing plate is--below the coax outlet in the ceiling. And I too will be using a swing out mount.

I had thought about doing the same thing but got a mount and installed it where the backing was. The only thing I didn't like was the size and location of the backing, thought it was too small and should have been higher. Didn't want the TV into the window so I had flip the mounting bracket. When I first mounted it the top holes missed the backing and lowering it would put half the TV in the window.

Update, there is a stud between bedroom door and pocket door(when open), I am going to mount a 32" on a short swing mount.
Angle from bed is great! Yes, you have to run cable and power cord across ceiling. I think getting in and out of bed will be easier, won't be dodging tv mounted to wall on my side of bed.

Here's a couple pictures of the mount and the TV. In the one of the mount I flipped the wall bracket upside down, the pencil in the wall is where I had missed the plate in the wall. You can see the sticker in relation to the bracket. Wanted to keep the TV out of the window. I never took a magnet to find the plate.
