There's sway, and then there is sway....
True sway is from being too light on the tongue. That's where the rear of the trailer starts moving back and forth, and can amplify itself to the point where it throws everything off the road. The first sign would be seeing one corner peeking out in one side mirror, and then seeing the other corner in the other mirror. Faster speed will exacerbate the issue, sometimes very quickly. The only cure for a fifth is to get more weight on the pin, as noted above. All the other items may help delay it from happening, but there will still be a chance....
Then there are all the other ride issues - truck suck, wind pushes, porpoising, etc. If you are prone to true sway, they can set it off. But if your pin weight is good, while they may not be pleasant when driving, they aren't life threatening.
There are a myriad of things to try to tame them - "E" rated tires, higher tire pressure, anti sway bars, airbags, nose down attitude of the trailer, etc., etc.
Make sure your pin weight is good. That is the most critical. For a fifth, 18-20% of total weight is a good range to shoot for. Then work through the other suggestions from cheap to expensive until you find the happy spot!2017 Imagine 2670MK
