This new system does have a small remoter that has a tone and lights up when an issue is detected. The app will monitor, and also send a notification if there is an "event".

I was playing around and installed mine this past weekend.

Works pretty good. I have a TST system, but will use this one for now.

I was emailed this, pretty much covers it all

    Sensors - Stem Mount, 188 psi maximum pressure reading, -58 to 401 °F (-50 to 205 °C) temperature
measurement range with two ways to monitor tire conditions; Compass Connect app and Alert Indicator.
Repeater - Receives sensor data, communicates with Alert Indicator and Phone App via Bluetooth Low
    Energy (BLE).
Repeater Dock - Provides power to repeater, which “docks” to this base.
Alert Indicator - Battery powered: Can be charged via USB Micro B connector; lights LED and beeps on tire
faults, e.g., pressure high/low, temperature high/low, sensor battery.
Compass Connect App - Displays real-time tire pressures, temperatures and visual alerts for faults. Setting
up the app requires both wifi and Bluetooth to be turned on and the user must be within 25 feet of the
trailer. Minimum requirements for a smart phone are iOS 11.0 or newer or Android 5.0 with Bluetooth.

Correct on Bluetooth, so pending the distance from your bluetooth mounted extender on the Trailer (normally front cargo) it can be sporadic in its capability to alert. For example, on my previous TT (Imagine 2500RL) I could connect to the system ~25% of the time while towing.

GRKC5123, that's a good point unless the tablet goes down, then no info. I do think what you are doing is the wave of the future, but it should lower the cost of accessories since a monitor screen is not needed. I used to have my TPMS monitor mounted right in front of me, but now I keep it in the console. I check it a couple of times a day and then rely on an audible signal if pressure goes down.
It is bluetooth and does not require a cell signal

On our Reflection 278bh I have had zero issues with the system while towing. Connectivity was not an issue.
