There are a lot of different versions of the F150. Can you provide more info on your specific truck?
What you need to do is compare the capabilities on the yellow label on the driver's door with the trailer specs.

It would take a F150 with an EcoBoost engine and the maximum towing/spring package. The standard springs wouldn't be heavy enough to tow such a heavy, large travel trailer. Relatively few F150's are equipped that way, as the spring package is something like $1,795 lbs. extra.
If you were buying new truck to tow the 313RLTS travel trailer, I'd tell you to go a 3/4 ton SuperDuty.

There's many variations of the F150 depending on how they're equipped. Does yours have the max tow or max payload options? Have you checked the factory hitch for max weight ratings with a W/D hitch? The empty tongue weight of 1146 lb is 13% of the dry total weight. If you're to load the camper with the amount as most and be able to maintain that 13% tongue which is considered ideal, the tongue weight will be around 1340 lb.

Hopefully our answers will all be consistent. Only thing worse than have a difference of opinion is having the Weight Police chime in quoting letters and numbers.
But when it comes to towing heavy loads, it never hurts to be a little conservative.

The 4x4 sometimes makes a difference, but it's required living as far north as you do. My 2x4 truck rides about level with my B&W hitch adjusted midways.
Are there any adjustments on the extended pin box on your trailer?

Hi Bamaman,
I have adjusted my hitch & pin down to 5" clearance between overhang and bed rails. Don't want to go closer than this. What I really need is 16" wheels and tires vs the 15" that GD decided to put on the 303. That would solve my problem.
BTW, I really appreciate your perspective on these various discussions.
