Fridge not working!!!~

We are at a KOA near Devil's Tower in WY. We have power in the rig, but fridge and freezer are not working. No light in fridge, and there are no lights at freezer control panel. I've checked the CB's and cycled - still nothing??

Any suggestions??

Have you tried removing the vent panel on the back of the fridge from outside the RV and check for any blown fuses?

Check fuses and thermal cut off, TCO is held near the burner with an imprecise bracket.

fuses??? Where?? not sure what you mean by an imprecise bracket? Burner, what burner? This is all new to us.

Sounds like a 12v problem. Your trailer has two power systems 120v ac and 12v dc. The refrigerator board runs on 12v. If you don’t have 12v the fridge will not work.

The ceiling lights are 12v, do they work?
In your control center with all the switches you should have a bettery monitor. Does the battery have a charge?
There should be a battery switch in a basement compartment, red key. Is it on?
Look in your fuse box for a blown 12v car type fuse.

The 12v batter is fully charged - red lights all across the panel, also all ceiling lights are on. I looked in the fuse panel/circuit breaker panel, there are two CB's, identified as fridge - I cycled both, several times - no luck. I see no fuses beneath the circuit breakers, which appear to relate to the fridge.

If you post the make and model number of your fridge someone here may be able to help. You also want to google the fridge and see if you can find a manual or trouble shooting guide.

It's a Dometic DM2682. I called Grand Design, as some of you suggested the guy also suggested I pulll the outside lower panel and check the fuse. I found two - one issued a red wire with a screw on holder for the fuse, it had a 3A fuse - it checked good and inside the circuit board I found a 5a fuse. It too checked good. Awaiting a call from the KOA Park people for a mobile tech. Not sure what else I can do.

Just because GD seems to do a few odd things with their wiring have you checked the GFI on that circuit. But with everything you read here the fridges are good for failed circuit boards
