Glad to be here! Researching upgrade from tt to 5th wheel

Found the forum a few weeks ago and have been reading threads nightly. So much great info! We have a 27’ Rockwood tt that we are selling to upgrade to a 5th wheel. Looking closely at the S-Class 3540GK.
Traded our 2015 F-150 for a 2019 F-350 over the summer in preparation for the upgraded camper. I researched the cargo capacity thoroughly before settling on a 350 vs a 250.
Reading the threads on pin weight and what capacity is needed for the solitude, I am very happy with our decision on the truck. Looking forward to more info and research on the forum!

    Welcome Scubasteve!

We upgraded from a tt to. 5th wheel a couple years ago. The TT was a bunk house model and was great for the kids. Being empty nesters now the 5th wheel suits our needs much better. Our Reflection has been a trouble free unit.

Great decision going with the 1 ton! That’s a nice truck.

Our situation as well Mark! Our youngest went off to college last month and no more need for the bunks. We bought our tt with the whole family in mind, now we are looking for something for just the two of us.

Another new user here looking at a 3540GK S-Class. We are in a 2015 38' JayFlight TT, our first RV purchased new. We have full-timed over two years since owning it, to include currently and plan to continue full-timing for the foreseeable future. Probably a year out on the Solitude purchase, but we love that new floor plan. Were able to see one in person couple of weeks ago in Tucson and confirmed it has all we need. We jumped on Ford's 0% on Super Duty trucks this summer and now have a 2019 F350 Lariat 6.7 diesel crew cab, long bed. Awesome ride that I barely feel the TT behind. Really hoping this all comes together for us.
