Bow in new awning

Anyone notice there awning doing this. 351MR built late May. I purchased in June. This picture was taken Aug 19th but I forget about it. I had a 21ft bow like this before but it was several years old.

Mine was and still is like that as well. I made a point of identifying it with the service writer over a year ago but didn't get far. The attachment at the rear wall has let go twice and it continually has issues retracting. I recently got a Carefree awing arm to help support the weight that I installed this morning. I think the real problem is the drum on these long awnings cannot support the weight and sag because of it causing more troubles. Having it bounce as you drive down the road doesn't help either. It looks like you have a Carefree awning as well. I have a Dometic which at least appears to be less structurally sound.

Grand Design must have realized this was an issue since they added a cradle to the side of our 340RDS that supports the awning in the middle when retracted. The awning on ours is a 21' Carefree.

Thanks , I will add a cradle. I've seen this on the longer ones but I never had one this short do this.
